The Salachi Hemp Yoga Mat is a double-sided yoga mat with anti-slip finish and a dense composition. The cannabis fiber protects our Yoga Mat from wear and tear over time, it softens with everyday use and prevents our feet and hands from slipping, offering an ideal accessory for any type of workout, relaxation and meditation.
Our mattress is available in 4 colors: nude beige, turquoise, dark brown, and violet.
Environmentally friendly
The hemp fibre absorbs moisture and holds the mattress together, providing a non-slip base for physical exercise, while being a completely skin-neutral natural material that does not cause allergies or irritation. We have chosen cannabis for two reasons, one is environmental (it doesn’t contain toxics, latex, silicon, and it is recyclable) and the second is practical: our Yoga Mat does wears out significantly less in relation to other Yoga Mats over time. By minimizing wear, there is no need to replace our Yoga Mat so often, reducing in this way uneccessary refuse. Our Hemp Yoga Mats are made with a view to being friendlier towards the environment than conventional mats that exist in the market: they are 100% recyclable, and have a long lifespan in order to reduce the need of replacement. Textile cannavis is one of the less energy consuming and environmentally friendly crops, something that makes our Hemp Yoga Mat a choice less harmful choice towards the environment. Our mattress, like all our products, always comes packaged in high quality ecological packaging made from recycled paper, in an effort to minimize plastic waste.
Salachi Hemp Yoga Mat – Instructions and tips on how to use
On your first contact with the Salachi hemp mattress, it may look rough or feel like it’s slippery. This happens because it is entirely new and it has never been used. You can apply some talk on its surface for the first times that you use it to avoid slipping, and you will soon see that this sensation will go away: the more you work out and you work your mat, the more anti-slip it becomes. Moreover, the more you use it, the more soft the cannabis fibers become, and less rough to your touch. Our Mat is double-sided, so if the natural cannabis texture is not exactly to your liking, you can use the other side, which is made of PER and is softer. Give extra support to your joints: if you have increased sensitivity in your elbows and knees, especially on props and boards where the whole body weight falls on the limbs, you can safely double it by folding it at one end or the other.
About cleaning:
The Salachi Hemp Yoga Mat is normally washed with soap and water or a natural detergent, and dries in a shady place very easily. You cannot wash it in the washing machine, since if you fold it too often it will wear out faster. If you need to maintain it everyday, here is a tip for a pleasant and ecological antibacterial solution: you dilute some drops of tea tree or lavender essential oil in some water – you spray with this solution on your Yoga Mat, and you dry it out using a dry cloth before or after each use. Make sure you put away your Yoga Mat after it is completely dry, for its better preservation.
