A few words from the Expert…

“Bungee Fitness combines gymnastics, dance and high intensity aerobic workout (HIIT), even Yoga and Pilates, in a unique and fun way. We are using Bungee cords and climbing harnesses in a special class that is conducted in various directions, with the strength and the benefits that aerial exercise offers.

The Bungee cord, has been used in circus shows for several years – usually with two grips on the side, in order to perform acrobatics and inverted positions more easily. In addition, it is used in many dance schools and gyms, even in theatrical plays and concerts, with one grip and a harness for strengthening exercises.
It became broadly known in 2016, from a theater school in Bangkok, that initially used it as a practicing method in rehearsals, since it was part of their shows. Later on, it was used as a type of workout, working with the Bungee cord even vertically to the wall. Countries like the Netherlands, USA and England followed and, to this day, it is known in a global scale.

Bungee, as a Circus & Theater Art, was initially used solely by professional and former dancers, for plays and workout sessions that aimed at a better jumping technique. Later on, it became part of fitness programs at gyms as an alternative type of exercise, with great popularity.

Bungee Fitness is a dynamic element that the majority of trainees need, while at the same time it is an innovative activity that can boost someone’s motivation for exercise. As a result, more and more fitness centers include Bungee Fitness programs in their schedule! After entering gyms, the need to create Bungee Fitness schools became a demand, since the lack of knowledge of the basic principles of this certain type of workout makes it dangerous.

Bungee Fitness is ideal for healthy practitioners that wish to try something different while having fun and working out. Muscle strengthening, freedom in movement, muscle stretching and high intensity aerobic workout are some of the benefits that Bungee Fitness and Bungee Dancing offer.

With the support of Bungee cords, some of the most challenging exercises are conducted easily and with safety, toning our body in a different way. We can jump higher than we would normally do, speed up and jump towards the floor safely, even hover just a few centimeters above the floor. To conclude, another major chapter of Bungee Fitness is the choreographed lesson, with jumps that are normally seen in the art of dance, such as turns and pirouettes. Bungee Fitness is a fun lesson that, depending on the level and the dancing knowledge of the instructor, can constantly evolve in order to achieve a more challenging and demanding class”.

Bungee Fitness combines gymnastics, dance and high intensity aerobic workout (HIIT), even Yoga and Pilates, in a unique and fun way.
